Description

Award-winning photographer Wayne Quilliam presents a series of digitally rendered artworks which draw on textures and tones from nature to depict the female form. This sensory and spiritual series of artworks seek to define the body’s relationship to land, culture and Mother Earth. The exhibition forms part of Melton City Council’s Reconciliation Week 2019 celebrations.

Wayne Quilliam has 30 years’ experience as an artist and photo-journalist. Based in Melbourne’s outer north-West, his work frequently takes him to communities around Australia and the world. An adjunct Professor at RMIT, Wayne was named National NAIDOC Artist of the Year, he won the Human Rights Media Award, and the prestigious Walkley Award for photojournalism. Wayne is also a National Ambassador for the Year of Reading.
