Description

Join us on National Sorry Day to pay tribute to the Stolen Generations and their families at the site of the Stolen Generations Marker in Atherton Gardens.

This special event will be MC'd by Shiralee Hood; Noongar Kurnai Gundijmarra deadly female comedian, and will include:

A Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony by Wurundjeri Elder, Uncle Colin Hunter. 

Keynote address by Aunty Eva Jo Edwards; a survivor of the Stolen Generations and a proud Boonwurrung, Mutti Mutti and Yorta Yorta woman.

Featuring music from a number of local Aboriginal musicians.

All welcome.
BBQ, tea and coffee provided.
